Today marks the final day of the Workshop on Nuclear Power Plant Development: Insights from the Russian Experience. The workshop began with a presentation on "Rosatom’s Nuclear Energy Development", followed by "Floating Power Unit. Energy Fleet. History and Evolution of Reactors from Icebreakers to the Present Day", "Economic and Social Effects of Nuclear Power Development for the Country, Localization", "Rosatom’s Experience in Public Information Management for Newcomer Countries", and "National Experience of Nuclear Industry Development: Challenges and Lessons Learned".
Rosatom is proud to share its international experience in building and operating nuclear power plants (NPPs). This workshop will offer useful information for ASEAN countries, including topics on large NPPs, land-based small modular reactors (SMRs), and floating power units (FPUs).
The goals of the today’s workshop are to :
• Help ASEAN countries understand the different nuclear power options available
• Show how local participation in nuclear projects can benefit the local economy
• Explain the safety features and regulatory standards used in Rosatom’s projects
• Share ways to improve public understanding and support for nuclear energy
Each topic will include a Q&A session to encourage active discussion with ASEAN participants.
